Quick Answer: Google Adsense pays $10-$20 for 1,000 views on average. Exactly how much you earn will vary depending on your traffic volume, the quality of traffic and the type and placement of ads.

In this article, we will take a look at how Adsense works and discuss some tips for increasing your earnings from this revenue source.

So, let’s get started!

How Does Google AdSense Work?

Google AdSense is a program that allows website and blog owners to place ads on their sites. These ads are provided by Google, and they are targeted to the content of your website. When a user clicks on one of these ads, you earn money!

It’s a great way to monetize your site without having to sell products or services.

Google AdSense works by using a piece of code that you insert into your website. This code allows Google to serve the targeted ads on your site. When a user clicks on one of these ads, you earn money.

The amount of money you make per click varies depending on the advertiser and the niche of your website.

It’s important to note that Google AdSense is not an “easy money” program.

In order for it to be effective, you need to have a good amount of traffic to your site. The more people that see the ads, the greater the chance of someone clicking on them.

Additionally, your website needs to be well-designed and user-friendly so that users will want to stay on your site and click on the ads.

Here’s a complete tutorial for getting started with Google Adsense:

How Much Does Adsense Pay Per 1,000 Views?

Adsense pays $10-20 for 1,000 views on average. The total earnings depend on the website category, the type of content you provide, the amount of website traffic, where users are located and how ads are set up.

For example, a website with a lot of traffic from countries with a high cost of living will earn more per 1,000 views than a website with less traffic from countries with a lower cost of living.

Likewise, a website with mostly text content will earn more per 1,000 views than a website with mostly video content.

Therefore, if you want to maximize your earnings from Adsense, it is important to consider all of these factors. Of course, the amount of money you can earn also depends on how many visitors your website receives.

However, by taking into account all of the factors mentioned above, you can help ensure that your Adsense earnings are as high as possible.

How Much Does AdSense Pay Per Click?

The amount of money that can be earned per click varies depending on a number of factors, including the competition between advertisers and the cost-per-click (CPC) in the website’s category.

In general, publishers earn between $0.01 and $0.50 per click

Therefore, if a website receives 100 clicks per day, the owner could earn anywhere from $1 to $50 per day from AdSense. While this may not seem like a lot of money, it can add up over time, particularly for larger sites that receive a lot of traffic.

Moreover, AdSense is just one of many ways in which website owners can monetize their sites – affiliate marketing is the all-time favourite way to monetise.

3 Factors That Affect Your Adsense Earnings

The amount of money you can earn through Adsense depends on the:

  • Size and location of ads
  • Niche of your website
  • Amount of traffic

1. Ad Size and Location

The size and location of the ad on your website will affect how much you earn from Adsense. For example, ads that are placed above the fold (the portion of the page that is visible without scrolling) tend to perform better than ads that are placed below the fold.

This is because users are more likely to see and click on ads that are placed above the fold. Similarly, larger ads tend to perform better than smaller ads because they are more difficult to ignore.

2. Website Topic

The niche of your website can also affect how much you earn from Adsense.

The niches that are best for AdSense are:

3. Traffic Volume

This is because the more people who see your ads, the greater the chance that someone will click on one.

If you have a high volume of traffic but low CTRs, you may want to consider changing the size or location of your ads.

Alternatively, if you have a low volume of traffic but high CTRs, you may want to focus on ways to increase traffic to your site.

8 Pro Tips To Increase Your Google AdSense Earnings

If you’re a blogger or website owner who uses Google AdSense to monetize your content, you’re always looking for ways to increase your earnings.

After all, even a few cents per click can add up if you’re getting a decent amount of traffic. Here are some tips to help you increase your Google AdSense earnings.

1. Use Ad Placement Strategies That Work

There are a number of different ad placements you can choose and some perform better than others.

For example, ads in the middle of your content tend to perform better than ads at the top or bottom of the page. You should also experiment with different ad sizes and formats to see which ones work best on your site.

The key is to find a balance between ads that perform well and those that don’t detract from the user experience.

Here are three of the best places to put Google ads on your blog, along with why they work so well.

  • Above the Fold

Above the fold is a term borrowed from newspaper design that refers to the portion of the page that’s visible when you first open it up.

Because people’s eyes are naturally drawn to this area first, it’s an ideal spot for placing ads. And studies have shown that placing ads above the fold can increase your click-through rate by up to 200%.

  • In the Middle Of Your Content

If you want people to actually read your ads, putting them in the middle of your content is a great way to do it.

That’s because people are more likely to pay attention to an ad that appears in the middle of an article than one that’s placed at either the beginning or the end.

Just make sure not to overload your readers with too many ads; one or two placements per post should be plenty.

  • Near Complementary Products or Services

If you’re selling a product or service on your blog, you’ll want to make sure your Google ads are placed near those products or services.

That’s because people who are interested in what you’re selling are also more likely than others to click on an ad related to it.

Placing your ads near complementary products or services can help increase conversions and boost your earnings.

2. Use Relevant Keywords in Your Content

The keywords you use in your content play a big role in determining which ads are served up on your page.

So, if you want to increase your earnings, make sure you’re using relevant keywords throughout your content. Not only will this help improve your SEO, but it will also ensure that the ads served up are more likely to be clicked on by your readers.

3. Optimize Your Site for Mobile Devices

More and more people are using mobile devices to access the internet, so it’s important that your site is optimized for these users.

Google Adsense offers a few different options for mobile ads, so experiment with different placements and formats to see which ones work best on your site. Remember, mobile users have a very different user experience than desktop users, so it’s important to tailor your ads accordingly.

4. Use Responsive Ad Units

Mobile traffic now accounts for 59.5% of all web traffic, so it’s important to make sure your ads are optimized for mobile devices.

Luckily, AdSense offers responsive ad units that automatically adjust to fit different screen sizes. These ad units perform better than traditional fixed-width units, so be sure to use them on your website if you want to earn more money.

5. Experiment With Different Ad Sizes and Formats

There are a variety of ad sizes and formats available through AdSense, so it’s important to experiment with different options to see which ones perform the best on your website. Some people find that text-only ads perform better than display ads, while others have the opposite experience. The best way to figure out what works best for you is to test different options and see what results you get.

6. Use An Adsense Tracker

If you’re serious about increasing your Adsense earnings, then you need to start tracking your results.

There are a number of great tracker plugins available for WordPress, and using one is a great way to get started. A tracker will allow you to see which ads are performing well and which ones aren’t.

You can then make changes to improve your earnings. Trust us, using a tracker is a must if you want to increase your Adsense earnings.

7. Add Multiple Ads

One way to increase your earnings is by adding more ads to your site. This might seem counterintuitive, but hear us out. By adding more ads, you’re giving visitors more opportunities to click on an ad and earn you money.

Just be sure not to go overboard—too many ads can be off-putting for visitors and could actually lead to fewer clicks (and less money for you). Find a happy medium, and you’ll see your earnings increase.

8. Write Longer Posts

This tip is twofold:

First, longer posts give you more opportunities to include Adsense coding—meaning more chances for someone to click on an ad.

Second, longer posts tend to rank higher in search engines—giving you even more exposure and traffic.

And as we all know, more traffic equals more potential Adsense earnings. So, if you want to increase your Adsense income, start writing longer posts!

Making Money With Adsense: The Bottom Line

Adsense earnings go up and down over time but at least know you have a rough idea of how much you can earn and what you can do to increase how much you make.

Just don’t forget that display ads and Google Adsense aren’t the only ways to make your blog profitable:

  • You can find higher-paying ad networks like Ezoic.
  • Or you can find other ways to earn such as affiliate marketing, promoting your own products and services or accepting sponsored posts.

As you can see, there’s more than one way to cook a chicken – or in this case – more than one way to make money with your blog.

  1. Thank you for the helpful information, but for some reason my earnings are much less than 10$ per 1000 views. Tier 2 traffic it is

    • That could be dependant on a few reasons. Your niche will be a determining factor, and also it will depend on the number of placements you have on your website as well (and their positioning, etc). Also, you may want to try experimenting with different networks such as Raptive & Mediavine. We used to recommend Ezoic but from tests, their earnings have proved to be too low compared to others. We only now recommend Ezoic for new starter sites who cannot get approved in other networks.
