If you’ve been binging on affiliate marketing videos then there’s a high chance that at some point you’ll have likely come across the ClickBank platinum award.
Many affiliate marketers who promote products through ClickBank showcase this award in their videos as a way to highlight their success.
But what exactly is the ClickBank platinum award? And what do you actually have to do to achieve platinum status on ClickBank?

What Is The ClickBank Platinum Award?
The ClickBank platinum award is a custom-printed 6lb award that’s given out to affiliates or sellers who have reached platinum status on the ClickBank network.
Now, if you’re asking what it is, the chances are you’ve seen it or heard about it already but just in case you haven’t, here’s how it looks:
So as you can see from the photograph above, the platinum award contains two things. It contains the affiliate’s (or seller’s) name & the year that the award was earned.
And to answer the question that likely raises; yes, you can earn a new platinum ClickBank award every year providing you hit their sales criteria.
The counter resets on January 1st & ClickBank gives out their award at least 2 times a year so the sooner you qualify, the sooner you can get the platinum perks.
That’s right – alongside the award itself, ClickBank platinum status also gets you access to some exclusive perks (and admittedly, they’re pretty darn cool).
We’ll discuss those in a moment, but first, the more pressing question…
How Can You Get a ClickBank Platinum Award?
The ClickBank platinum award is available for both sellers & affiliates & in order to bag yourself your own platinum award you need to generate $250,000 worth of ClickBank sales in a single year.
Yep, no typo. $250k worth of sales. Quite a lot, right?
But the positive thing about the high sales target is that it certainly makes the exclusive club much more exclusive & you’ll see why that’s a good thing when we get to the perks in just a moment.
For now, though, let’s break it down.
$250,000 sales over the course of a year would equate to making 3 sales per day at an average order value of $150… So actually, it’s not too bad after all.
And if you did manage to hit the target then you’d officially land yourself within the top 1% of all ClickBank earners, with the 1% consisting of around ~400 members.
Again, this can be done as an affiliate OR a seller – so sellers probably have the upper hand in this instance since they can leverage affiliates to help them generate sales.
But overall an affiliate will come out with more money because generally, the affiliates on ClickBank take home much more than the vendors.
So, now for the next point.
What Are The Perks For ClickBank Platinum Members?
Well, the first & most obvious perk is that you get a big fancy award to wave around in front of your friends, family or strangers that are watching your YouTube videos.
And weighing in at 6lbs, it’ll surely come in handy as a great paperweight.
But alongside that, the platinum membership also gains you access to some cool additional networking opportunities.
For example, firstly, you get invited to the yearly ClickBank platinum summit – a conference held at a 5* resort, exclusive for platinum members.
And on top of that, you’re given access to a private Facebook group which again is exclusive to the top 1% of ClickBank members.
So this means that if you manage to qualify for the platinum program, you will then stand a much greater chance of being able to skyrocket your business even further because you’ll essentially unlock the ability to network with other “gurus”.
As the saying goes, “teamwork makes the dream work”.
The Bottom Line
If you’re promoting products on ClickBank then the ClickBank platinum program & award can certainly make for some good motivation.
However, whilst it would be pretty cool to have the ClickBank platinum award sitting on your shelf, just make sure you don’t find yourself getting too obsessed with aiming for it.
The reality is that there are many affiliate programs out there with many different offers, so your core focus should always be on which one will help you ultimately earn the most money.
And we say that because we’ve done it ourselves in the past. We’ve been so focused on hitting targets or unlocking achievements that we ended up cutting ourselves short.
Whilst we could have been promoting other products via different networks & earning more money, we were earning less simply because we wanted to prove to ourselves we could reach a goal.
That’s the trap with gamification!
So by all means, strive for the ClickBank platinum award, but just be mindful that it’s not the be-all & end-all of your success.
