What Is Autopilot In Affiliate Marketing?
In short, autopilot in affiliate marketing means that your business will run itself automatically & generate commissions without you having to do any work.
These types of autopilot affiliate marketing systems are also often referred to as push-button affiliate systems or done-for-you websites.
So, through autopilot affiliate marketing systems, you’re led to believe that you will be able to just sign up, pay some money, and receive autopilot income… Without any work.
Now, I’m confident that you’ll likely be sceptical of that claim & rightly so.
After all, if it was that easy to generate commissions from autopilot websites as an affiliate, then why isn’t everybody doing it? Why are people still working jobs?
Let’s take a closer look…
Do Autopilot Affiliate Sales Exist?
The reality is that, yes, autopilot sales do exist in affiliate marketing & it is possible to achieve completely passive income as an affiliate marketer.
However, these autopilot sales do not come without initially putting in some hard work.
So, if somebody is promising you that you can just sign up for their done-for-you system & generate commissions on autopilot as a beginner, you should run a mile.
That person is simply trying to scam you.
After over 10+ years of working online & achieving Super Affiliate status, I can tell you with absolute confidence that there is no such thing as a fully automated, done-for-you push-button system.
The people selling those systems are simply trying to lure you in & trick you into handing over your earned cash so that they can earn some money at your expense.
That’s why those folks never fully explain how their systems supposedly work & require you to pay money to find out more information.
A legitimate affiliate marketing course, like the one here at Commission Academy, will be fully upfront & transparent about how everything works.
But, as mentioned, autopilot sales DO exist, and by putting in the work, it is possible to generate them.
So let’s take a look at what it actually takes to build legitimate autopilot income as an affiliate marketer.
How To Build Autopilot Income
By following a good training program, building autopilot income as an affiliate is a straightforward process.
First of all, you need a product or service to promote, which you can get by joining an affiliate program.
Then, once you’ve got something to promote, you need to begin sending traffic to your affiliate link in order to generate sales & earn commissions.
So, in order to generate autopilot income, you simply need to find a hands-free way to generate traffic & the good news is there are 2 ways to do this.
You can:
- Use organic traffic (free, but can take some time to start getting results)
- Use paid advertising (costs money, but get results quickly)
We teach both methods in our free affiliate marketing course.
So, let’s look at how each one works in a little more detail below:
Organic Traffic
Generating organic traffic involves creating content online, such as blog posts or YouTube videos, that target specific keywords that people are searching for.
You would start by doing keyword research to find what people are searching for. Then, let’s say you discovered 100 people a month are searching “best aquarium for topical fish” you would create written or video content related to that topic.
Once you create it, search engines (like Google or YouTube) will discover it & list it within their results as an option to click on when they search for things related to it.
Then, once people start clicking, you have the opportunity to earn money by adding affiliate links to the content that you’ve created.
So, from a one-time effort of creating the content, you could find yourself generating automated income as an affiliate marketer… And to grow your income larger, you could simply create more content.
Paid Advertising
Instead of creating content, you can simply pay to appear at the top of search results for specific keywords.
Typically, you will set a cost per click for each keyword you wish to target. So using the same example for above, let’s say you’re targeting “best aquarium for tropical fish”.
To target that keyword, it might cost £0.50 each time somebody clicks on it.
So your job here is to make sure that you earn more than £0.50 from every click to the product or service that you’re promoting.
If you manage to get your conversion rates high enough to make it happen, you’ll find yourself generating automated income through paid advertising.
Whilst this method can seem the most tempting to approach first, it’s always best to build a website and generate organic traffic before moving into paid advertising.
That’s because you need to get familiar with increasing conversion rates using free traffic before you start spending money. Otherwise, you’ll waste a lot of money trying to figure it out.
The good news is that it’s very easy to get an autopilot affiliate marketing website set up. So let’s take a look at how you can do that below.
Finding Autopilot Website Ideas
The easiest way to build autopilot income as an affiliate is through a niche website, which is a website that focuses on a narrowed-down topic.
For example, rather than focusing on a broad topic like “vacuums” as a whole, a niche website would focus on a narrowed-down segment of that market, such as “robot vacuums”.
This is done to build a laser-targeted audience because the more targeted your audience is, the easier it is to convert visitors into sales (and earn commissions 💰).
But how do you find these autopilot website niches for affiliate marketing?
Well, the good news is that alongside our guide for finding an affiliate marketing niche, we’ve also got an AI-powered Niche Finder inside of Commission Academy.
So if you haven’t yet done so, be sure to create a free account to give that a try.
All you need to do is simply enter a passion or interest & our Niche Finder tool will give you profitable niche ideas, along with what types of products or services you can promote.
The Bottom Line
Autopilot affiliate marketing income does exist, but it doesn’t come without hard work.
If somebody is promising to provide you with access to an autopilot affiliate marketing system that’ll supposedly see you earning autopilot income without doing anything, then you should run a mile.
So, hopefully, this post has helped you to better understand what autopilot means in affiliate marketing & how autopilot affiliate income actually works.
