Forget about making money, <a href=\"https:\/\/due.com\/blog\/3-mind-blowing-statistics-about-mlms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-lasso-id=\"1009\">99% of people<\/a> who join pyramid schemes lose everything they put in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There have been a number of studies and investigations into pyramid schemes \u2013&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Multi-level_marketing#Income_levels\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-lasso-id=\"1010\">Wikipedia has a handy list<\/a>&nbsp;\u2013 and they don&#8217;t paint a pretty picture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The most recent survey was published in 2018 by<a href=\"https:\/\/www.magnifymoney.com\/blog\/news\/survey-vast-majority-multilevel-marketing-participants-earn-less-70-cents-hour\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-lasso-id=\"1011\"> Magnify Money<\/a> where they asked 1,049 pyramid scheme\/ MLM participants about their earnings. No Recruiting<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pyramid scheme members are notorious for harassing family on social media, losing friends and alienating themselves from the people around them because of the relentless push to recruit when no one&#8217;s interesting in joining their <em>&#8220;business opportunity&#8221;<\/em>.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Affiliate earnings come from the sales of actual products. There&#8217;s no face-to-face recruiting or selling whatsoever and you don&#8217;t build a downline. You join an affiliate program, get your affiliate link and include that link within your blog posts. Someone clicks on your link, buys something and you get a percentage.
