These days, it almost seems like everybody has a YouTube channel<\/a> & if you haven’t yet got your own, you may be feeling like you’re missing out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, with that in mind, should you start a YouTube channel?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is Starting a YouTube Channel Worth It?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In short, my answer to this question is a resounding yes. As far as I’m concerned & from my own experiences, starting a YouTube channel is 100% worth it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I say that because whilst it can be frustrating when you’re just first starting out, being a YouTuber actually becomes really fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But, of course, there’s more to it than just fun…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a YouTube channel, you have the power to build a highly engaged online audience & with the right approach, it doesn’t take a huge amount of work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, when you have an audience, you can begin making money<\/a> (and lots of it!).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you’ll soon see a little further down in this blog post, being a YouTuber can prove to be extremely lucrative & many folks do it as their full-time job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But what about in 2026? Is it still worth starting a YouTube channel in 2026?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Absolutely! Over the years, YouTube has become more & more popular<\/a> & the audience has grown rapidly. Even in 2026, it’s still well worth starting a YouTube channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In fact, just recently I started a brand new channel & within just 2 days I received over 50 new subscribers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is Being a YouTuber Hard?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Speaking from experience, I put off doing YouTube for many years because I believed it to be difficult.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First of all, I found getting in front of the camera difficult. It was something I hated doing & because I thought too much about it, I would always mess up my words.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, I found the editing process extremely laborious & time-consuming. I’d spend hours after recording a video tweaking it, trying to get it “perfect” ready to publish. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So I threw in the towel after just my first few videos & for years, it stayed that way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But just a couple of years ago, I came to the realization that YouTube isn’t hard<\/strong>. I was only finding it difficult because I was making<\/em> it difficult.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was getting too caught up in what others were doing & assuming that my videos had to be as well produced as theirs for me to be successful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But now, as a successful YouTuber, I can tell you that’s just nonsense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I came full circle & just started recording simple “point and shoot” style videos on my webcam or phone. They’ve had the best engagement of all of my videos so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It turns out that people don’t really care too much about production quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, as a YouTuber, your daily task list will be as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
